Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy Hires National Accounts Director To Expand Kidney Disease Services

SWARTZ CREEK, Mich., April 8, 2008 --
Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy today announced Mike Maynard has joined the company as Director of National Accounts. Maynard reports directly to Dr. Atheer Kaddis, Vice President of Managed Markets.

Maynard is responsible for the development and national expansion of Diplomat's disease management programs, focusing initially on chronic kidney disease, dialysis, and renal transplant. Diplomat's disease management programs, through direct patient contact and coordination with physicians, improve access, tolerance, and compliance to appropriate medication therapy resulting in improved patient outcomes.

Maynard's fifteen years as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry include extensive experience in sales, sales management and training, and Regional and National Account Management. Immediately before joining Diplomat Specialty Pharmacy, he served as an Integrated Delivery Network/Renal Account Manager with Roche Pharmaceuticals. In addition, he has over eight years of experience in the renal marketplace with Sigma-Tau Pharmaceuticals, and brings extensive experience in contract negotiation, and developing and implementing sales/marketing strategies with dialysis providers and renal Group Purchasing Organizations. Maynard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI.
